Green & Simple is my space for thinking out loud about how we live — and how we might live differently, and better.
On this site, I explore questions around mindfulness, money, work, sustainability, and the economic and cultural stories that shape our lives. Many of these stories present themselves as natural or inevitable: endless growth, constant productivity, competition as a default. Here, I try to slow those narratives down and look at them more closely.
One of the biggest reasons people don’t make changes to live more sustainably is the belief that they’d be alone in doing so. Here, I want to show that you are not alone. Others are also trying to change the way they live, to take better care of themselves, and of the planet.
This is not a lifestyle blog in the sense of offering hacks or quick solutions, although I do share some of those. It is a place for reflection, critique, and curiosity. I’m interested in ideas that put people and the planet before efficiency, and in alternatives that already exist outside the mainstream.
Green and Simple is written as a labor of love and reflects my personal perspective. The views expressed here are my own, shaped by my reading and lived experience.
If my writing helps you question assumptions, feel less alone in your doubts, or imagine other ways of organizing life and work, then it is doing what it set out to do.
On this site you’ll find writing about:
– Mindfulness and intentional living
– Money, work, and mindset
– Sustainable living
– The stories we tell ourselves about success and progress
I write when I have the time (damn that day job), when I feel inspired, or when I’m in the middle of thinking something through. I only publish when I feel I have something meaningful to add to the conversation. I don’t post for posting’s sake, so updates may be irregular.
